| The Founder: Barbara Jones is a 20-year veteran of the music business, building an extensive career in marketing, sales and distribution. Most recently, she was SVP and Head of Marketing for Columbia Records, where she oversaw a range of marketing campaigns for established artists such as Dixie Chicks, Bruce Springsteen and John Mayer to developing artists like Brandi Carlile, Teddy Geiger, and Boys Like Girls. She previously held SVP Marketing titles at Warner Bros. Records and Maverick Recording Company. As a seasoned marketer in the entertainment industry, Barbara noticed there was lack of external resources when it came to marketing to the most influential consumer demographic: adult women. In June ’07, at a turning point in her career and with her youngest child turning one year old, she decided to start her own company to not only help fill that marketing void but also to attain a more manageable work/life balance. In Fall of ’07, she founded Intuition Marketing, a marketing and consulting company geared towards adult women. Besides consulting, Intuition Marketing has a new division called One2One Network. Barbara used her vast marketing expertise to create and develop this viral marketing and promotion division, which consists of a network of women in the 25-54 age range who are selectively promoting brand products and services in the affluent suburban areas of the Top 40-50 Markets. Women do 85% of all spending in the household and cite word-of-mouth and personal referrals as one of the key ways they find out about products and services. Yet marketers encounter challenges when it comes to reaching adult women, especially in the suburbs, in a targeted and cost-effective way. One2One Network seeks to bridge this gap and serve as a credible market influencer among women 25-54. One2One Network is an exclusive team of socially-connected tastemakers focused on helping our clients reach these trillion-dollar spenders in a targeted, non-traditional way. This will ultimately create more focused and quality ROI with less marketing and advertising investment than traditional mediums of the past. One2One Network is designed as a unique channel for clients to access and connect with this powerful demographic and serve as a credible source for women to discover and promote what's new and interesting in entertainment, electronics, wellness, fashion and so on. One2One Network is a nationwide community of 25-54 year-old women living within the more affluent suburbs of the Top 50 Markets. One2One Network Reps carry out a variety of tasks to help create visibility and raise awareness for products and services in their local community. They do this by implementing various One2One Network promotional options based on each client’s specific needs, like retail/community visibility, sampling, local PR, viral online marketing, word-of-mouth, in-home events and more. In The Know Report is a blog and video podcast with a weekly e-newsletter about a variety of things that its host, Barbara Jones, finds cool, interesting and useful. The main thrust of the blog will be highlighting products and services created by women. Who is Barbara Jones and why would anyone care about what she thinks? Well, she’s a married woman and a work-at-home mom of three children, living in the suburbs and trying to keep it all together like so many other women out there. So, why the hell not?? Because In The Know Report is delivered in a short & sweet, D.I.Y.-way from a practical, imperfect, no-nonsense gal who was raised in the Midwest but has also lived a bi-coastal lifestyle, its appeal will reach a wide demographic and be relatable to the masses. Slick is so overrated, right? This daily report will cover a variety of topics and products from entertainment, electronics and packaged goods to wellness, internet safety, youth trends and beyond.
